This is a special edition of the newsletter. In late November, Morgan had the idea for a “gift guide” for December in place of our normal Eating, Reading, Listening edition. I loved the idea.
Our hope is to suggest gifts that we believe will promote the slower, intentional lifestyle we are all pursuing.
We hope you find some ideas for gifts for your loved ones. Considering we are already in December, it’s likely that some of these ideas will not be an option for this year. With that said, we tried to choose some timeless gift ideas that will still be solid options in the future as well.

A tea kettle is a simple, yet beautiful kitchen accesory. A copper kettle takes the class to another level. We have one and got ours from this store on etsy. We have been really happy with ours. These kettles ship from Istanbul and get here incredibly fast. You won’t believe this, but I ordered it on 12/22/21 and it arrived on 12/27/21. I paid $19 for shipping. Crazy!
👉 Whittling Kit
For those that work with your minds, it’s nice to rest with your hands. Whittling is a hobby that offers rest and an opportunity to be creative. I think this is a great gift for kids as well.
“These prayers are ways of reminding us that our lives are shot through with sacred purpose even when, especially when, we are too busy or too caught up in our busyness to notice.” What a blessing these books are. These prayers remind me that all things can be done from a place of worship… and rest.
